Although I tip well. I'm like Mr Pink on reseevior dogs

Why should I give them more because my food was expensive, it's not like they had to extra labor.
but they do.....

tables that are spending more get higher priority.....their food comes out quicker, their drinks are stronger.....large groups, or groups that are putting up big money tend to get better service...

the only reason it's fair is if the service was shitty......

but the entire allure to the service industry is working for tips.....

if you are good at what you do, you are paid well for it......

at my restaurant some of the servers can make like 5-600 a night if they are in the zone.....

i've seen it plenty of times....

A lot of what you stated has nothing to do with my waiter. Should I go in the back and hand out $20 to the cook?

server=waiter

they serve you...they control it all...they relay the directions to the cook...if you say you want a medium rare steak, and shit come back medium well.....that's the server's fault.....if your drinks take too long or are weak, that's the servers fault,........if the food takes forever...that's the server's fault......servers will slip money to cooks to get their orders made ahead of others... they'll tip the bartenders and bar backs to make the drinks stronger, or run them out for them,...they are responsible for refilling your water.. taking empty plates off your table......knowing the menu with recommendations...they are essentially what you base your entire visit to the restaurant around....and it's a very demanding job.....especially emotionally cuz it's constant movement,. you're on your feet.....you have to think fast, and be super attentive and seem pleasant and in good spirits the entire time......shit could be a madhouse behind the scenes, but your server has to be a whole nother person when they at your table.........it's a very very very difficult jobs... but those who are good at it....they deserve the big tips cuz more times than not they worked their asses off for it....

there's levels to the serving game....there are servers at top restaurants bringing home 6 figures....and it ain't just some regular ole whoever in there....these people are legit as good as their pay dictates....they work hard for those tips.........

if the service was wack..then u justified, but if the service was good or exceptional......you foul...

i always tip based on the service....

Sounds like they need to get paid from there place of employment and not look to me for a hand out
I usually always tip 15% unless the service was complete was.

they typically do....

however it's like sales...you get a base... but the ceiling is determined by your effort....

some people hate working on commission, some are naturals at it.....

top servers are like any other top sales position,.....its all about pleasing the customer....

I'm saying it shouldn't be mandatory. If I feel compiled to give you some extra I will on my own accord and not have to have any stigma behind it of I dont.

Dude just dropped 5 hundo on dinner and now you expect me to give you an extra $75 just because what I ordered was expensive? What kinda shit is that. $75 to bring water and carry plates? Fuck that

I'm not huge on service anyway. Bring me my food in a reasonable time, hit me with a refill from time to time, and stay the fuck away from my table with chit chat.

then get in where you fit in....

people go places and expect to change everything cuz they have an issue with it....

if i go to a nice ass place that has a dress code, and i'm dressing the part....i expect to be treated like royalty, and i absolutely will pay for it...

if i'm going somewhere where the tab is going to be $500.....i've already planned on s[ending dumb money for the tip....it goes with the package....

if i don't have that kinda dough, then i'll go somewhere much more low scale.....

if i don't have tipping money at all... fast food or carry out.....

i make the decision to where i go.....i'm not going to complain about the rules once i get there....

to me, that shit is corny....it's lame......

we went to hooters for both fathers day and mothers day, the mothers day chick was horrible....she got 15% barely... like to the penny.....

the server on father's day was awesome, she prolly walked away with 30-35%

and none of us were surprised that the same chick from mother's day wasn't there anymore....

All these "rules" are made up
that's bullshit... people just don't like being told what to do....... spoilt as shit

stubborn childlike mentality.....no competitive spirit.....

also jealousy cuz the chick with big breasts and a million dollar smile made 10 times in tips than everybody else working, but also didn't fuck up noe order at all......

dudes who don't like being chivalrous because of unspoken rules....

then get mad and call niggaz simps when they get chicks charmed away from them.....

who says i'm not supposed to walk in a house without speaking.....these rules are made up....

well take your rude ass outta my made up house then....
