Was 7 straight summers a myth ??

Jay said in Heart of the city "Jigga held you down six summers"

If we wanna split hairs, holding us down is a bold claim. Homie was dropping albums annually so there was always a jigga single or two during those summers before they released.

Thing is, there was a gang of shit from so many other people that nothing Jay did would be considered "holding us down". We were good whether he dropped or not.

If there's some other lyric then whatever

Oh in THAT case then yeah he was there, too lazy to look but im sure he at the very least charted those seven summers (really gotta look up 97 tho) he didnt OWN those all of those summers but he was there.

Technically no he didn't....vol 1 dropped in November 97 and vol 3 dropped in December 99 and the la familia album dropped in oct 2000

right but this was when albums would have multiple singles and would be spread out over months. Even when these albums dropped in the winter, they would have songs that tracked into the summer.
