Wackest Anticipated Debut Albums?

I remember when Fabulous and NORE had that Money Power Respect freestyle. We thought Fab had next.

Truthfully I never heard his debut album but I remember people saying it was a dud.

I never fucked with Ja Rule or GUnit or Dipset

So all yall in here listing Tony Yayo, Ja Rule, & Juelz Santana as "highly anticipated" is strange to me. I get it. I just dont see it.
No ja rule, gunit or dips?

What was you listening to in 2002 new York?

Red Hot Lover Tone's self titled debut album. Had a good amount of buzz thanks to decent showings on Three Chubb Rock tracks, a Louie Rankin Joint, and MC Serch's "Back To The Grill"

MC Breed and the DFC's self titled album. Dude had a huuuuge buzz behind Ain't No Future In Your Frontin'. The second track was about Job Corp... does anyone else need an explanation past this?

Vanilla Ice - Hooked. Ice Ice Baby was insanely popular and he hit while the iron was hot when he dropped "Hooked" on Ichiban Records (which, incidentally, was also the home of MC Breed and the DFC). Album was hot ass.

Supernatural - Whatever album you wanna consider his debut. I think this is the curse of most battle rappers. Their freestyles are amazing, but them dudes have no idea how to make an album (see also Canibus).

Da King and I - Contemporary Jeep Music. The single Flip Da Script had a good buzz going. This album simply didn't live up to it.

Yomo and Maulkie - "Are U Xperienced. Got name dropped on one of the greatest West Coast albums of all time (No One Can Do It Better) as one of the next acts on the biggest West Coast label at the time (Ruthless Records). Album went double feather. One of the songs on the album, For The Love Of Money, was handed over to Bone Thugs and Harmony to use. Maulkie ended up in Ice Cube's camp as one of the Lench Mobb on their second album.
