Voice Memo Guy

Kool,

Those artist, you would consider those artist sexy and cool, you would also consider them putting out music for men to be sexy and cool? True or False?

We getting off topic now so let me pivot back into the discussion
All I'm saying is my son is a cool ass kid who can play rap when he wants to, and rnb when he wants to.

He understands the choice. He lives in the hood, but he knows he's not a corner boy, he's not tryna be a corner boy.... He's pretty laid back, and so are his friends. They all get girls. Not the ratchet ass wild chicks, they get pretty girls with good grades, and they think my son and his friends are cool af.... They all move pretty well.

Whenever we host something for all the kids... We can play some ratchet shit, some smooth shit, whatever..... Kids are not in the box you tryna paint them in.... There's way to many cool ass chill kids to think they all wanna be young boy and money bagg yo

Not defending him, but who are the players on the scene that are sexy and cool?

Where are the sexy and cool songs and sexy and cool music

I was listening to a rap song today, and the 2nd verse was talking about bending over a chick or laying down pipe etc.

I'm like dayum, we have went way left with this here.

No balance in the sense.

But yeah, not completely gone but pushed back are the whole making a woman feel sexy and cool. Folks will look at you as a goofball or something.

Niggas gotta be savages is the memo

lol bruh women over 35 want to be viewed as sexy. I get lonious said he thinks men and women don’t like each other. But regular people can have regular connections and rarely does talking crazy to a woman work. Unless she just dgaf and was goin or low self esteem or something

And if she was already going demanding sex can dry it all up

We all learned this at some point. I don’t even think you talk like that to any woman in your age range.

Keith Sweat was a begger but he had other songs that made him looked as being cool and sexy.

Those 11-30 year old male dudes who listen to Keith, grew up on him obtained game, some obtained the begging part, some obtained the sexy and cool part, but the point that I'm making and adding on to what Dwayne said, is that the sexy and cool part was there to be obtained by that 11-30 year old crowd.

I'm discussing with Du, that the sexy and cool part is not there for your average 11-30 year old man, unless he's diving into old music, or taking his time out to seek it from other aspects.

You don't have those begging, let me put roses on the bed, let me be sexy and cool songs or even dudes out here in the game any more. Du said Chris Brown and Usher, Usher, i'll give him that, Chris Brown, I wouldn't, because of his style has changed. Not mad at it, but if a 12 year old was to listen to Chris Brown music that he's put out from 2021-2026, i don't think he's going obtain being sexy and cool from that. More so on the savage side of treating hoes and women, toxic

Chris Brown has been like that since his In My Zone mixtape in 2010. He's had a damn near 20 year run now of auto tuned singing the same lyrics over and over again. But despite that, there's still other r&b options out there for people to find. Gotta remember social media chatter doesn't always reflect actual real life support. So just because something seems to be the song of the moment many of those artists actually aren't selling shit whether album or live sales.

Kids are not in a box. Never been about them being in a box

A statement was made about niggas not being sexy and cool. I stated that niggas are not sexy and cool because of what they are consuming, and what is being pushed to them. And I stated that there are no sexy and cool people to emulate.

You stated Usher and Chris Brown are, I said the Chris Brown is not a sexy and cool person to me, I posted a song by him, you posted another song in which I said can be considered as sexy and cool, even though.

I went on to say that your average 22-28 year old isn't listening to sexy and cool music because most of the music aint talking about being sexy and cool, more so about tricking, etc etc.

I stated that there were many artist back in our era that were sexy and cool, Kells, Maxwell, Kem, 112, Keith Sweat, that's who we are coming up could obtain the sexy and cool energy from. I went on to say that I don't see that energy in music like that.

You named some artists, and I said, the average 22 year old isn't bumping those dudes like that.

Now we are drifting off to other matters, most 15 year olds, outside of your son is not bumping R&B sexy and cool music.

I was just in the car, and my son said sometimes he just tells Spotify to play new rnb and songs he likes he adds to a playlist.

Proving, it's a choice.

And I'm saying that they ALWAYS have the choice to seek out the cool smooth shit.... IF THEY WANT TO.... I keep saying it's a choice. Shit isn't being pushed on them, all these kids and 20 year olds have access to streaming services that can play the music they want to listen to. If they don't want to listen to smooth shit that's their choice. That's not the average 22-28 that's specifically the ones who make the decision not to. The shit clearly exists, and there are enough dudes who listen to the shit to disprove the point you tryna make that your average dude in his 20s has no choice but to be a thug.

That's simply not true

Name these other artists that your average 16 year old can find, that you know that they can bump?

Name 4 male R&B artists (not from out gen or 2010) that a 16-year-old male can listen to that can put them up on being sexy and cool?

You named some artists, and I said, the average 22 year old isn't bumping those dudes like that.
That's just wrong. There are far too many that do both to say your average doesn't.

My son isn't some unicorn.. He's your average kid that knows how to pick music based on his mood. He knows hard core shit ain't the vibe when chicks are around. He knows how to dress up and down.

He's a normal, average kid... Stop trying to pretend that the average dude is a thug ass savage

Name 10 R&B male acts that are sexy and cool

Nobody from our era

If you can't do it, then that proves my point

Avery Wilson- he has a song called Kiss The Sky that definitely fits that vibe. Also his latest single Good Enough too. He can sing and isn't on that "toxic r&b" shit
Durand Bernarr: Just dropped a fire ass album
Elmiene: also just dropped a fire ass album. Imagine a newer Maxwell type style
BJ The Chicago Kid: talented singer, writer and producer.

Look at the screen shots I just posted. They're right there in front of you.

I'm 44, I'm not into the same music a 15 year old is. I don't know know who most of those artists are. But my son does. That's proving my point right??

My generation typically listens to my generation music. Saying a 40 year old nigga can't name 10 artists that teens listen to is crazy. Can the 15 year old name them?? Yes....I just posted a list

Checkmate.

You can't name the R&B artists that your average 16-28 year old is listening, not name Usher or Chris Brown.

There are more kids (black kids) listening to YB, Moneybagg, rap in general than R&B acts, is my point.

Has nothing to do with being a thug/gangsta.

Has more so to do with what is being pushed and consumed which goes back to the statement "Niggas aint sexy and cool anymore"

Why are niggas not sexy and cool anymore

I said, because of the shit that's being pushed and consumed by your average 16 year old -28 year old.

Has nothing to do with them being in a box, gangstas or whatever you're drifting off to, Not even my point or angle, My point is that they emulate those lyrics.

If it's not tricking, it's treating a chick bad, it's not that, it's taking your ole lady, if it's not that, it's being up front, if it's not that, it's having 2 to 3 chicks playing them at once.

Not all are like this brotha, but listening and consuming music that push this narrative to me, This is why niggas aint sexy and cool no more or this is the new sexy and cool energy in 2026 for niggas to be on or be apart of.

Also...it was our generation that started the death of the sexy and cool r&b artists because singing started being associated with being soft. There was a gradual change of singers taking on more of a rapper aesthetic both style wise and music wise. Hell some of these new rappers would probably be singers if they actually put in actual vocal training time instead of just autotuning their bars to sound melodic. But singing and being vulnerable about your lady or your life...that grew to be less and less marketable when people in our age range were younger. And it resulted in what we see now.

Sexy and Cool energy. None of that savage energy

Now, can these dudes go on tour and sell tickets to 16-28 year old men?

These folks would be popular if they were being listen to by the average male 16–28-year-old.

BJ The Chicago got motion.

I don't know who giveon is... The kids do though
I don't know who desti conrad is... The kids do though
I don't know who avenoir is .. The kids do though
I think I heard of Frank Sativa, but I'm not sure... My son got him on the list
Daniel Caesar, never heard of him. Chris Tavis.... First time seeing the name is on my son's playlist. Montell Fish l, Steve Lacy..... Again... This is his shit. I'm not putting him on... He puts me on to shit half the time...

Just cuz you outta touch don't mean the kids are. These 22-28 dudes know the names I just listed. My 40 year old ass doesn't.

Just admit you outta touch

16-28 year old teens and young men have never been the key r&b market to begin with even when the lyrics and presentations were different. At most some songs to put on a mix for your lady. But even then those songs weren't marketed to men. They were songs that as a guy you knew women were feeling. Women always were and have been. So your questions would be better suited for 16-28 year old women. Because when Usher dropped 8701 it wasn't teenage boys who made him sell 8 million. It was teenage girls and young women. Niggas wasn't running around singing Usher "Nice and Slow" on their own like that lol. That's a song you played around your lady.

This is simply just wrong.

I'm not into most of the young music. But the young kids are, and they know how to find new and cool shit, cuz that's what they like to listen to..

You are only focused on the rap they listen to. And that's your personal bias towards that generation. It's just wrong, cuz they got smooth shit too... You just not on it.

I have never at any point in my life approached a woman like that nor would I want a woman who is ok with, and responsive to, a nigga getting that shit off. Shit is corny and tactless. Dude might as well pay for some pussy if he wants to make it that transactional. Pac said it best...."I don't want it if it's that easy", plus I'd like to think I can get the job done w/o resorting to caveman tactics.

I said this.

Content has changed to being aggressive, I even posted Chris Brown song Back 2 Sleep. Even posted a song that may be the next hit about dude taking a chick and calling her and her best friend dumber, she cheating on her dude. I even said I heard a song today about a dude bending over a chick and smashing etc.

I said that.

Why do you think niggas are not sexy and cool? or do you think Dwayne statement is false?
