With all due respect, there was a thread that featured surveillance footage of a woman entering her apartment and a split second later a man running at top speed enters the scene right behind her, attempting to force his way into her apartment.

Thankfully, she locked the door and he was unable to get inside, but he stood outside knocking on her door trying to get her to open it.

When a surprisingly small minority of posters on this site (including myself) suggested that she arm herself, there was a huge amount of pushback as to why it’s not a good idea for women to have guns:

“She might not perform her due diligence and end up in trouble with the law and then who’s gonna bail her out and pay her legal fees?”

“What if she gets overpowered and has her weapon used against her?”

And then y’all started just inventing these made up scenarios:

“What if women just start shooting every man who makes ‘em mad?”

WTF?

We were talking about one specific incident….. Not all that extra stuff.

And the worst part was y’all’s “solution”…

“Men need to teach their sons not to be weird”.

How in the fuck is that gonna help your wife if you’re at work and she’s home alone and an intruder gets into your house?

What is she supposed to do? Look him in the eye and say, “It’s too bad your daddy didn’t raise you better… You wanna talk about it?”

Is that gonna save her life????

If me saying that upsets you, hey, I’m just telling you what I observed in a thread featured on this site.

I don’t do the heated discussion/name-calling thing anymore, so if you’re gonna hurl insults, then I would prefer that you not even respond to this post and we can just agree to disagree and keep it pushin.

I just never understood the whole “guns & girls don’t mix” stance.

You said all that to ignore the entire point of my comment and what some said in that thread. Which was different places have different gun laws so comparing a place that has more relaxed gun laws vs a place that has very strict gun laws or basically bans them isn't making the point you think. You ain't say nothing to upset nobody. You just said a bunch of shit that shows you didn't actually comprehend what was being said

As I alluded to in that other thread, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to beat somebody over the head with a baseball bat, but if that’s what a woman has to do to avoid getting raped, then by all means, beat the shit outta that motherfucker. Deal with “legal ramifications” later.

niggas didn’t say women should t own guns they said why many women don’t own guns. A lot of people actually don’t own guns. Idk why it’s wrong to want a better society tho. That does not mean don’t protect yourself if you can. You making it seem like we said women should remain defenseless.
