Around 3,000-4000 died, and we don't know who killed who -- meaning if most were killed by rioter/agitators or Iranian security forces. For we know (because of a ton of video evidence, some of which was posted in this thread) that rioters hijacked peaceful protests and started shooting, stabbing and burning people (also destroying property).

Around 200 security forces were killed. How could that happen if protests were peaceful?

Moreover, if they shoot someone that it going around burning and stabbing people, if it is not justified it is surely not heinous.

Even HRA could only 'confirm' 7,000 deaths. And over 2,500 of those remain unidentified. So we are just supposed to take their word for it.

Iran said it was 3,117, and published the names and ID of about 3,000. Anyone claiming it is much more should come forward with a list of names of the additional people who they say died.


That said, Iran is not perfect by any means.
