Breaking News US and Israel War Against Iran

I don’t think this whole Israeli/Iran conflict is going to look bad on Trump. Doesn’t look like we’ll be dragged into a prolonged war, no one can prove the bombs didn’t impact Iran’s nuclear capability, a cease fire has a decent chance of holding, the other Middle East countries are pretty much on board, etc.

I think Trump has convinced all of those countries it’s better to come together and get money than to be fighting. Classic criminal boss strategy.

So the focus needs to move back to domestic issues, particularly this Big Beautiful Bill. The more democrats and others try to make Trump look bad on Iran the more they’ll remind people it didn’t go as bad as they said it would.

President Trump announced on Monday evening — around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Tehran — that Iran and Israel had agreed to a cease-fire. Iran’s state television later announced a cease-fire early morning local time on Tuesday.

By then, Tehran residents had endured one more night of heavy attacks and terror.

A day after Iran agreed to a cease-fire with Israel, its president, Masoud Pezeshkian, praised the resilience of his people. “Today, following your courageous resistance, this great and history-making nation witnesses a cease-fire and the end of a 12-day war that was imposed on the Iranian people through the adventurism and warmongering of the Zionist regime,” he said in an address to the nation, according to IRNA, the state new agency.

Representative Al Green, Democrat of Texas, says he will introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump citing an abuse of power and the use of the military in a war without congressional authorization. “President Trump has not only violated his oath of office, he has also disregarded the separation of powers necessary to maintain the independence of our three branches of government,” Mr. Green said in a statement. One other Democratic lawmaker, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, also raised the idea of impeachment, though her overture was not embraced by most within the party. This is the fourth time Mr. Green has led an impeachment effort against Mr. Trump.
