The whole appeal for all of them was their social awkardness. Once they all got girlfriends and eventually wives, they were no longer funny. In the last few seasons, Stuart was the funniest one bcuz he was still trying to get a girl.

I like Howard and Bernadette as parents, she was at her funniest after Ms. Wollowitz died all the way to the end of the series. Sheldon was the character who fell off the most getting a girlfriend while Leonard was always wack to me
