Brotha, the more I push, the more you are just throwing stuff at the wall hoping it sticks. None of what you're saying makes sense. The dems are going to push towards the "white racist" now? and skip over the blacks, (which you've proven my point, they were using the black voters for wins)

So now that they can't use the black voting block, they will ignore black people is basically what you are saying.

Also, If that chance aint come in the past, by us just voting like we've been doing, I'll take my chances and it seems like more black ppl are on this wave, by making them earn my vote in exchange for something I want now, instead of just giving them my vote just because I'm black and a Dem.....

My desire isn't gone. It's a threat to the Dems and other groups, thats why other groups and Dems shills want that reparations or vote talk to die down. It's a threat.

If it was just 5 of us shouting this, it wouldn't matter, but the fact that it's more folks shouting this chant, has folks pushing the panic button, calling names, shaming and I love it. That old tired playbook won't be use.

Either give black folks want they want, or continue to lose, it's so simple.

since 1980 through 2024 (44 yrs;12 voting cycles), in the presidential election, Louisiana has voted democrat 2x with that candidate winning both times. (Clinton). The other 10, the state voted Republican with that candidate winning 7 times. The 3x that the Republican candidate didnt win was Obama 2x then Biden.

since 2008, democratic voters haven't surpassed 40% turnout with the most recent presidential electioneing 38.2%. So this takes care of the federal level

At the state level, since 1983 (your born year) through 2023 (11 voting cycles), LA has voted Democrat for governor 6x, Republican 5x. This does not include Landry, so if you include him, it's tied 6-6.

Also, louisiana has had more registered democrats than republicans. The problem? The democrats showing up at the polls has continued to decrease every election cycle while the registered republicans have increased.

i.e. There are fewer registered Republicans. At some point, they were not showing up to the polls, but now they are. This is how they keep winning despite having fewer registered members of their party.

And as of last governor cycle, there are more registered white voters in the state than black which shouldnt be a surprise.

and lastly, just cause someone is registered, doesnt mean they voted.

as of the last presidential election, 2,967,683 registered Louisiana voters, and 60% of this number voted. The national average for the country was 64%.

if you dig a little deeper, from 2002-2024 (22yrs) the average louisiana voter turnout for the president was a whopping 51%. Just over half the state of eligible voters are going to the polls.

I'll just say this and you are very smart man, very smart,, one thing that some folks in here don't like to do, but get mad at me for, is being 100% honest about life. The truth has no feelings, I don't sugar coat nothing, I tell it like it is, and the truth at times cuts deep for some folks on here especially when you don't wanna be completely honest about things. I'm mean brutally honest, not kid gloves shit.

Folks like to use kid gloves on things, not me, tell it like it is and fix it. This isn't a shot at you, just in general when we have these debates.

I look at this like this and this what you, and others have a disconnect at.

Either the dems are not giving black folks what they want, or it's that whatever the dems have on the table it is not what black people, is why they cannot win even though they have more registered voters.

That means that the shit that the Dems are presenting is NOT bringing folks out.

Check this out, I bet if reparations was presented, I bet those 100k voters for the Dems or close to it would show up....

You get low turn out because you don't offer shit.

You can't fill up a stadium because niggas don't like your football team, the game is boring, nothing to offer, tickets too high....

YOu need to do something to give the people what they want.

This is where I disconnect with folks in here because they refuse to see this or call this shit out and that's why the Dems will continue to lose going forward

The black districts created because of the voting rights act cover majority black areas like NO and Baton Rouge. Same thing in Alabama.

Now those districts will be chopped up and redistricted so blacks are now a minority in their district and never get a politician that represents their interests.

And that’s why it’s so crazy this is coming from a person that lives in Louisiana. There may one day be someone out of NO that fully supports reparations and Knock will vote finally and that person will have no chance of winning because they’re running in a new majority white district.

Bruh up until a few years ago my Senator Bobby Scott was somehow in charge of all the black parts of VA outside of the DMV. He had part of Richmond, part of Hampton and Newport News. It’s more concentrated now but it was strange

I think you're glossing over the fact that the Republicans here probably haven't gotten everything they wanted either but they knew who they didn't want in office and voted for no other reason than that
