Let's see how this Afghanistan thing plays out , looks like dude has plans to drop some nukes on China
Apparently our current nukes don't have the capability to reach China from the US

China on the other hand has nukes that can circle the planet twice and still hit anybody anywhere. So moving closer to them would be strategically smart

I'm not blaming the Dems for anything. I'm stating a fact. Trump is continuously breaking the law, and the Dems are doing very little to stop him. You don't think there is anything they can do? Fine. But it's dumb as fuck for you or anyone else to give the Dems a pass on letting Trump get away with this shit but then turn around and condemn corporations for doing what they have to do to not be targeted by a madman.

This is quite possibly the dumbest thing you've ever said on here. What exactly is Disney or any other company supposed to do? In this particular case, the head of the FCC threatened to yank Disney's broadcast license. That would be devastating for the company. Sure, they could fight back. After all, what Trump is doing is illegal, but who exactly are they going to appeal to? They can't go to Congress, because the Reps in Congress will just go along with Trump and the Dems will just throw their hands up and say they can't do anything because of the Reps. They can try to fight it in the courts, but that will be expensive and at some point in the process they will hit a Trump friendly court that will rule against them. Even if they don't, so what. Trump has already shown he doesn't even care what the courts say.

Again, this is Disney, they are big and powerful enough to maybe survive that type of battle. Not every company is. From a business standpoint, how much sense does it make to fight and put your business at risk when you have the weight of the executive office being put on you and you can't count on any of the checks and balances for help?
What can elected democrats do though. They literally have no power other than protest and speaking out, which they’re doing. And I’m not removing culpability, just stating an objective fact.

The US has chosen what they want, either by voting or not voting. We were warned about stacking the Supreme Court his first time and people still chose him. We were warned about all of the shit he’d do now and people still chose him. They even went as far to also choose a Trump worshipping Congress.

When democrats finally get some more power, then we can blame them for not exerting it to their full extent.

@Blue_London @DNB1

The issue wasn't about what Dems can or can't do. If you believe the Dems are powerless now, fine.

But what power do the companies have now? It's dumb for someone to come along and say that the Dems should punish companies for essentially doing the same thing they are doing now.

Did you miss where he said he wants the base they gave up in Afghanistan because China is 1 hour away from where they build their nukes

I’ll concede they don’t have much power. It’s either get along or their competition does and gets ahead. Although I agree they should stand on principle, I think it’s naive to expect any company to do so when their sole focus is to make money.

As far as dems punishing them, I don’t know what that looks like, but they should somehow be held accountable for wrongful terminations or something. And those that cancelled their DEI policies get held accountable for discrimination in some form. Even better if they actually go through with raising corporate tax rates. Hit their pockets as a form of punishment.

The real punishment should be reserved for the republicans that enforced these unconstitutional actions on businesses.

It's not just about who runs the companies. Those people will find a way to be alright. It's the other people that get hurt. Say Disney stood on principle as suggested, and they get their local broadcast licenses revoked. It's not like the heads at the top of the corporation are the ones that would be fucked. It would be the people working at the local affiliates. They are the ones that would be out of jobs. His keeping Jimmy Kimmel more important than preserving all those jobs?

I get why a lot of people like her. I just never understood why people think she'd be a good president. Yes, she's typically on the right side of issues, and she's charismatic, but as far as I know, she's never done anything that would remotely suggest she has the leadership and decision making abilities necessary to be president.
She's attractive and she's young in the sense that we've had elderly presidents. No idea what she's enacted in bills though
