True, but Trump is the only one that doesn't give a fuck and will do shit on a whim even if allies and donors are against it.

For example, part of the reason Reps never push for this is because many of them get money from the private prison industry, which would take a major hit if weed charges basically disappear. That's the same for Trump, but I think Trump is more likely to say "Fuck it" and just pull the trigger regardless of what anyone else has to say.

He's setting the stage early for 2028. Trump does not plan on ever leaving the White House, so instead of waiting until 2028, he's activating the NG and using them as his own personal protection.

The Project 2025 thread wants to have a word. So many posts in there saying it was fearmongering and that it was impossible for Trump to do the Project 2025 shit.

And now here we are.

There’s already been a few proposals for how he serves a third term. I’m not one that believes he’ll actually pull it off, but seeing what’s happening now, I’m certainly not saying it’s impossible. Far from it.
