COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

People love to say I don’t vote and I don’t get involved in politics but I take care of people in my hood.

You going to feed all those kids when those SNAP benefits get cancelled or reduced? You going to pay those hospital bills when people get kicked off of Medicaid?

As much as I’m for helping out personally, not voting or being involved is a bigger negative than the positive they try to do.

I'm a big advocate of people not voting. If you're not going to educate yourself on the policies and instead just go based onf vibes and feelings, you shouldn't vote. We'd be better off if everyone followed that rule. That's kinda why the EC exists. It just doesn't work anymore.

I feel you, but as black people, we should at minimum understand based on history that republicans give zero fucks about black people and actively work against things that disproportionately benefit us.

Look at what’s happening now. Anti-discrimination protections getting cancelled in the public AND private AND education sectors. SNAP and Medicaid on the chopping block. DOJ lawsuits filed to help black people getting dropped. Removal of our history and its impacts from schools.

But yeah, all of this is worth it as long as I can portray myself as a contrarian.

Yooooo...

These African countries be wildin'. They would literally let the U.S. exploit the shit out of them rather than finding some common ground.
This is why you spend so much money on armed services

There will be bases in the DRC asap

This has Elon Musk musty prints all over it now what’s going to happen is them minerals will become Trump Org minerals

It's really just being lazy. There are sites that break down what the candidates policies are. I know I'm guilty of being lazy about looking them all up myself

That's sort of true, but everything isn't simple. There are issues and ideas that are complex and you have to have an understanding of everything feeding into them to really have an informed opinion. Running a country is hard. Choosing a leader requires thought and consideration. It's fair for some people to not want to think that hard.
