COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

This shit once again is showing that people either cant or refuse to acknowledge ethnicity though. Because the latino immigrants who voted for trump ain't the same ones out protesting. There's a huge difference between those Florida Cubans and Venezuelans vs the Puerto Ricans in NY or the El Salvadorians in DC. Lumping them all together does nobody any good
Or saying that the Latinos who voted for Trump voted for their own deportation. Newsflash, citizens can't be deported (yet smh lol, that might change with this regime)

I think it's more so the gall of them supporting someone that hates their bloodline. It's essentially why #CouchGang exists. They know these ppl don't fuck with them, but they support them anyway to spite a group of ppl they disagree with for surface level reasons.

Only 65% of eligible voters voted. Of that...that majority of Latinos still didn't vote for trump. So taxing them all as if the majority did still doesn't hold up. And thats part of what the "ima sit this one out because you voted for it" is missing in context. Because using that logic nobody should give a fuck about anything this administration is doing because there's not 1 demographic that didn't vote for him

I think Venezuelans just like Cubans have been brainwashed that the left means socialism and they have PTSD of that due to Chavez/Maduro

In the US, Latinos are all lumped together. They need to look at other Latinos regardless of country of origin or race before they start looking at black people.

You don’t see black people out there talking shit about Latino support when we have to fight. We welcome allies, but we’ll fight for ourselves and not complain about people that don’t want to join us.

That said, I’m not mad at black people that want to join their fight. I’m also not mad at black people that don’t want to join their fight.

I know a lot of folks say black Americans shouldn’t get in this despite the black immigrants. And how good number of the Latino community voted for Trump. But the ones that voted ain’t the same ones protesting at least I don’t think so
