Kyle Kulinski from Secular Talk came out saying the same thing about another Biden mouthpiece who is now saying that Israel has committed war crimes. Kyle's take was the same as yours.

I'm a little torn when it comes to the press secretary. That person's job is to speak for the administration. The press never asked Karine what she thought. No one cares what Karine thought. They were asking her about the administration's stances. I think it's kinda weird to treat her like everything Biden did was her fault just because she gave you Biden's reasoning. She wasn't the president. She was just his mouthpiece. Now that she's not in that role anymore, she can give her own opinion.

When speaking for Biden and administration positions, I agree. But when all of this Biden mental decline stuff started bubbling up she actually said he’s good and she herself could barely keep up with him or something like that. So she did occasionally bring in her personal point of view and opinions. That’s the disingenuous part of it.
