COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

So do we still have people who think DEI was all about giving Black folks jobs? Or is it clear it affects a multitude of things

This is absolutely cruel.

So cruel that Alabama said more or less said that they went too far.

The Alabama Department of Public Health, the agency required to implement the sewage improvements, said it would continue working to address the sanitation issues in the Black Belt as funding allows.

But this wasn't really DEI. This is an anti-antidiscrimination move.

Make no mistake, if Trump wanted El Salvador to return him, it would.

They told him to say that he's not gonna return him, so they can pretend that there's nothing they can do and (if they are right, which they are not) be in compliance with the Supreme Court ruling.

They are evading the ruling of the Supreme Court. We are supposed to believe that El Salvador's president can come and be feted at the White House but absolutely will not release the guy who was wrongfully deported.

Or the reason they won’t send him back.. Is something really bad happened to him.. And he’s either badly hurt or worse off than that…

I wouldn't agree with that. It's the missing due process that is the biggest problem. If they weren't through the court then they would have known about the protective order. They could even challenge it in court
