COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

I’m going to ask this again. Are we sure Trump’s not trying to destroy America? The only thing he’s done that’s made a little bit of sense was tighten up immigration.

Across the board tariffs, blatantly siding with Russia, indiscriminate federal spending cuts, indiscriminate federal job cuts, etc. None of this shit is even politically advantageous. The only explanation is that it’s personally advantageous.
He may not be a Russian asset but he's the closest thing to one

Matter a fact there's a whole documentary about him having ties with Russia.

Without a Russian bank and mafia Trump would be bankrupt and probably in prison now.

Bill Murray might be MAGA.. SMH…

Who fucking cares. Bill Murray doesn't impact politics in any way

The state of this thread

I'm saying. Theres so much bullshit one has to filter in this thread. There's real life shit going on that this administration is doing and I'm supposed to give a fuck about Bill Murray being on the Joe Rogan podcast or the random parroting accounts this guy posts from

Sadly there’s some idiots out there in red caps who will watch that and believe verbatim

Sometimes I listen to ppl interview maggots and they ll ask them to quote their sources and dudes will say shit like Elon posted in on Twitter or it was said on the Joe Rogan show

So that shit matters in a way

sum shit might be deeper than rap

U.S. Hits China, Canada and Mexico With Tariffs; Beijing and Ottawa Retaliate

China’s Response Escalates Superpowers’ Trade War

China’s Ministry of Finance put tariffs of 15 percent on imports of American chicken, wheat, corn and cotton and 10 percent tariffs on other foods, ranging from soybeans to dairy products. In addition, the Ministry of Commerce said 15 U.S. companies would no longer be allowed to buy products from China except with special permission, including Skydio, which is the largest American maker of drones and a supplier to the U.S. military and emergency services.

Lou Qinjian, a spokesman for China’s National People’s Congress, chastised the United States for violating the World Trade Organization’s free trade rules. “By imposing unilateral tariffs, the U.S. has violated W.T.O. rules and disrupted the security and stability of the global industrial and supply chains,” he said.

lol I just read that Trump wants create a crypto stockpile. He's going to use taxpayer money to buy billions of dollars in crypto to serve as a "rainy day" fund of sorts for the country. I'm not even going to get into how stupid that is. The funny part is five of the coins he's selecting for this stockpile just happen to be the five that the billionaire put in charge of Crypto is most heavily invested in. The level of corruption going on is mind boggling.

I'm awed by it. They are cutting 880B from Social Security and now trying to figure out a way to funnel 100B directly to the Crypto bros that gave Trump millions for his re-election. At this point, I'm thinking there will only be two outcomes from this presidency open rebellion or complete collapse of the country.

Is it possible Putin told Trump he’s going to attack a NATO country next regardless what the US does, so it’s best for the US to get out of NATO or go to war with them. And Trump chose to concede to keep the US out of it.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence he keeps bringing up World War III and constantly invoking a desire for peace or no war…for the US.
No. We'd all be compelled to fight and Russia doesn't want that

This will work wonders for football recruitment but then again niggas don’t give a shit

Sadly it’s not going to get black students to attend HBCU’s or universities that will keep these initiatives.

Just imagine if 30% of the pro athletes went to HBCU’s. It would help those schools immensely

I'm already getting emails from vendors the company I work for uses about the costs of supplies going up because of these damn tarrifs this idiot president has implemented

thats the thing with "bringing it back to the states"

If im not mistaken red states take in waaaaay more federal dollars than blue states than they actually contribute. If the federal faucet is getting turned off or redirected wouldnt the red states feel it first and the most?

Dah well
This is why we're seeing all these pissed off Republicans at these town halls.
