COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

This is typical for a lot of venture capital firm takeovers. What you’re describing though is a feature, not a flaw. They act that way intentionally. The goal is to get the company’s financial ratios to a point where it’s attractive to the next investor so they can cash out.

So they’ll cut the biggest cost lines, typically labor. Sales are usually going to continue given the market infrastructure and operations infrastructure of the company, but leadership and ancillary structures needed for long term success are destroyed in the process, because they don’t care about the long term.

So you have to wonder, what is the goal here? Is it to weaken the US and whore it out to the top bidders? Seems that way to me. Trump is trying to make the US a profit center and to hell with the people, just like in business.
You’re right and that is exactly what happened, as they cut departments, they held a meeting to tell us they were dedicating 24 million to marketing.

This doesn’t bold well for the US and I’m kinda somewhat shocked, that there isn’t anyone, on any significant platform making this specific case. That aside from all the politics and divisiveness, the country is being set up to fail on purpose.

I've seen some critics say that trump trying to run the government like a business won't work. I saw James Carvelle say that because of what trump and elon are doing it will generate a huge turn for the Democratic Party that they could use in their favor

That doesn’t paint the Democratic Party in a good light. That’s like saying I’m going to allow those guys over there to sexually assault my daughter when she leaves tonight, so that she doesn’t leave to go to seedy clubs at night. That wouldn’t make bro a good dad

For the people of Ukraine this is concerning, for Europeans this could be the change needed In the long run.

European superpower loading. Blessed be the fruit will be your greeting very soon
That’s the thing, there’s only a few superpowers in the world, so it would take a new coalition to really stand up against Russia without the US. At least as far as I know.

I do find it so cringey that these world leaders have been coming over here to basically kiss Trump’s ass. No backbone’s at all, well maybe Macron stood up some, but still very deferential. Canada, Mexico, and Colombia started off tough but quickly backed off.

I respect Zelensky for not kowtowing to Trump and Vance, but he’s probably in the worst position to do so. At some point other leaders will have to tell it like it is with Trump.

I don't agree with letting people suffer to prove a larger point. But I do believe in giving people what they asked for. The American people voted for this administration. So I can see the logic in thinking let them get what they asked for so they can see it's not what they want. I don't agree 100% but I can see how one would get to that conclusion

As mentioned before Europe united has more consumers than then the United States and would be more appealing globally especially with trump in charge.

USA did a trade military support for their influence now they are backing out the deal and Europe needs to play the game until changes can be made . The states is trading short victories by virtue signaling for long term losses.
