COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

This thread all over the place now lol

People are being asked to defend positions they never took to begin with lol

So you’ve resigned yourself to being a spectator and commentator who doesn’t really have skin in the game either way.

That’s why never voting and two sides arguments are the easiest. You never have to actually do anything and you never have to defend the results of your action (or inaction). It’s the lowest risk position to play.
I don’t believe in eating healthy or exercising

I just show up at gyms to offer my opinion and critique of those who do

:pause:

So we should depend on social media to teach black history rather then schools???????

Kool, omit what I said, and let your kid learn about black history in school. They'll learn more in school than they would anywhere else.

Got it. These white ladies/teachers will fill your black child with everything they need to know about black history.

You do it your way and I'll do it my way.

While we at it, thhe posts in the Black History Month Thread which came off of Social Media, let's gone head and delete that thread since nobody is supposed to learn black history off of social media.

Yall sit up here NOW and learn new things off of social media but apparently learning new information about black people is off limits.

@Elzo69Renaissance

Everything about black history has to come outta of a 3rd or 4th grade textbook that talks about slavery and Jim Crow all in what 10-20 pages, 2 chapters.

In school, how is a child/teen supposed to learn over 50,000 years worth of history about black people in 1 or 2 days from a textbook in school.

But yea, let's do it your way and lets read over these 1-2 chapters that they have in these elementary/middle/high school textbooks, and we can maybe spend a little extra time on BH since it's Feb

The average child may learn 2% of black history in these schools, yea lets rely on schools to do our job, when there are more outlets in 2025 that you can pull information from to teach your child, but let's rely on these old ass textbooks to do our job.

Who cares if it's the easiest? I'm not gauging it by the metrics u defined it as. I simply don't like either candidate and any that I would consider don't have a snowball chance in hell. Stop overthinking it.

3rd party is systematically suppressed and you're completely unaware.

Nice meme bro.
So your main point for not voting at all is that 3rd party is suppressed? I'm just trying to understand your position. You're the one that went down that path of argument

When was the last election you voted in? Or have you not voted at all?

I don't fw establishment candidates. They uphold the corrupted system. 3rd party is systematically suppressed so that no worthy candidate would bother pursuing, and any half worthy candidate doesn't have a chance to begin with. It's pointless.

Never voted before

Suppressed on both sides. But that’s the system. If you don’t have the power to change the system, do your best to operate within it.

If you had a job at the only company in the nation are you going to try to change the system to move up, work within it to move up, or stay where you are. You’re choosing to stay where you are. Black people cant afford to do that and have historically chosen to not do that which is why we not living under Jim Crow anymore.

But there’s no convincing one another so I think we can all move on from this topic.

You still haven't shown how they're supposedly suppressed but I'll ignore that as I don't think it's worth the discussion after you saying you haven't voted in presidential elections

Have you at least voted in local elections like state and city? Or like not voted at all ever

Lol i asked u twice and after the second time u said it's beside the point. I don't care to explain but it's very telling that u have absolutely no idea how it works. Whether or not u figure it out is not my concern.

I had no interest in politics til my mid 20s bc I felt like it was a waste of time. So as I got older I made it a point to educate myself come to realize it's actually an entertaining ass waste of time.

I have to agree with him that democrats do hand pick their nominees. But Republicans do too. I’ll even admit that democrats do it more than Republicans given Trump was able to get the nomination. They hated his ass and he still became the nominee.
