Back during the campaign when he said

“I have nothing to do with Project 2025,” Trump said in the ABC News Presidential Debate. “I haven’t read it. I don’t want to read it purposely. I’m not going to read it.”

“This was a group of people that got together, they came up with some ideas, I guess some good, some bad, but it makes no difference. I have nothing to do [with it],” he said on the debate stage.

And people defending him claiming it was fear mongering to mention it. Now it's "I didn't actually think he would go this far and do all the things he said he was gonna do"

Well, he basically admitted that they are implementing Project 2025, so the Dems should be on every TV station with a hard copy of Project 2025 reading off what's in that plan so everyone knows exactly what is coming and who to blame for it. But they won't do that.

Had no idea he denied it the way the government moved I thought we alll knew what was happening, this mfr pump faked like he wasn’t doing it for absolutely no reason

Yep. He didn't just deny he had anything to do with it. He went as far as to claim that he believed parts of the plan were ridiculous. This is just lie number 1,310,896 from Trump.

There were people who didn’t think he’d do it or thought it was fear-mongering. This is the best FAFO political thread on this site.

You know what bothers me most about politics these days? It's how politicians can get on a mic and tell blatant demonstrable lies, get caught, and there's no consequences. They do it all the time now. Mike Johnson is hitting up all the news outlets and saying that the Dems were demanding changes to Medicaid to give illegal aliens free health insurance. That's a complete lie. Yet, he's able to repeat that over and over to make it seem like the Dems' unreasonable requests are what led to the shutdown. That's just crazy. There should be some kinda rule that allows politicians who knowingly spread lies to be sued.
