COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

Cool, now what about the substance of the argument?

Rhetorical

Well again multiple things can be true.

It's a generally true statement

Schulz also not supports the very same behavior from politicians but also champions it as a reason he supports more conservative politicians now thus making him a hypocrite. So seeing him agree with that statement like Bernie ain't talking about him is funny

God forbid someone criticizes the Democratic Party. David Hogg and Bernie are right. Fuck shilling for corporate Democrats

They been getting shitted on solidly for a good while now. Its become an easy automatic go to for everyone from the right to the left and far left themselves.

Idk the full extent of Schulz views but he spelled out pretty extensively why he fell out with the Dems in this interview.

If u go back to about 27'ish-30 min mark, Bernie wasn't talking about Schulz. He was talking about politicians who "sway votes". I couldn't care less about Schulz.

In regards to Schulz views...he definitely and has openly exclaimed that part of the appeal of the right, trump specifically is his habit of insulting people when faced with questions about policies and his ideas being challenged. He views it as something Dems used to be bold enough to do but lost. He also was one of the initial leaders of that dumb ass "comedians can't tell jokes anymore" bullshit. He's also been openly and admittedly hypocritical in his criticism and how much he paid attention to the faults of the Biden administration vs trump

You may not care about Schulz but you cant deny the platform something is said on shapes how the pov is received by an audience. Thats how you get headlines like the one in that tweet and also the ones from when he had Pete Buttigieg on and the "Pete destroys Schulz" headlines from him just telling him basic shit like "No. You're wrong and here's why" when he tried to come with bullshit. I agree with Bernie but those headlines and reactions are going to be more of the same

They are having a conversation about how the establishment gets away with doing what they did to Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman.

I don't care about what Schulz is saying on a podcast, especially relative to that.

And it's crazy that the convo keeps being focused on him, who is largely insignificant in the grand scheme, and not the substance of what is being argued as the cause.

God forbid someone criticizes the Democratic Party. David Hogg and Bernie are right. Fuck shilling for corporate Democrats
Agreed. Get these lazy dems out.

Also, correcting myself from earlier where I said the cancer could come on quickly, Biden and team definitely covered up this, as well as his cognitive decline. The former I’ve learned could not come on that quickly. The latter I don’t know how anybody was fooled by that coverup.

As proof of how fucked up our government is, Trump is still worse, smh. If you think Trump’s not covering up any and every negative thing about him he can you’re fooling yourself.

Where the hell is the viable 3rd party? If there was ever a time for it now is it.

I remember when we were all witnessing in real time Biden deteriorating before our very eyes and the Dem shill kept posting positive Biden tweets like nothing was happening

Well you could've just ignored that shot at Schulz but you had to point it out. You're acting like 2 discussions cant be had at the same time. What Bernie said is correct. Schulz also being a schill for the right is also correct and will affect the framing of what Bernie said because it's on his platform same as any other platform would affect the framing for some. Its not a hard thing to grasp.

Lol that post was not me defending Schulz or caring that someone was taking a shot at him. I think u missed the point and the trajectory of our convo proves exactly that since that's all u talked about.

Trump's response to the question about Biden’s diagnosis will make you think he needs a cognitive exam right now. Man can't speak coherently about a damn thing. A 3rd party candidate would be nice but the way things are shaping up it's gonna be whoever manages to appease Trump most. Because I think he hates Vance and if he is forced to step down he'd find a way to bypass him

That's a disingenuous view. I used Schulz as a way to talk about the framing of how things are received. To say I only talked about him is just a lie

I remember when they replaced him with Kamala and people thought Biden should have continued running. As if he had a better shot.

And yet we’d still be better off with Biden or Kamala right now. And that’s the saddest part of it all.

Bruh he said groceries is an old school term as if he hasn’t personally used or heard that term since he was a kid.

And did that on his Middle East tour on the world stage.

Which was still, not my point.

It was my point. And if you couldn't decipher that and just saw Schulz name and a criticism of somebody on the right then you're proving that just as you said...some things never change because you did what you always do. Deflect instead of actually reading in full context. Which ironically was my initial point made in my 1st post. Good job
