Brunch being overly priced with terrible service and practically the same menu at most spots isn't

Yes, a group outing with people who not are 1, mindful of what they order knowing the implications of the one bill practice and 2, don't try and nickel and dime every single item are good to hang with

But I would rather just take that same group and go in on a private chef
