Per TMZ and a video that’s surfaced, a security guard seemingly whispered something to Tyrese mid-performance. He kept singing while also jumping off the stage, exiting, and expressing his love for the crowd. He tried to blame the abrupt exit on him “being over [his] time,” but the outlet noted that he had three songs left in his set. The papers being served were from Bryan Barber, who’s suing Tyrese for defamation and libel.
Back in October, Barber filed a $10 million lawsuit against the singer, claiming the latter disparaged him on The Breakfast Club over footage Tyrese said he was harboring. Barber felt his reputation was damaged—hence the lawsuit.
The “Sweet Lady” heartthrob acknowledged the sold-out show on Instagram and dedicated it to his late mother, Priscilla, and his sisters, Salendra and Shonta. He didn’t address the lawsuit or him being served, but added that he was on his way to Kuwait for a “well needed moment to decompress.”
