On an another note, I've once watched a couple of documentaries saying that the middle class and posh African Americans in some States of post-Antebellum U.S.A. attempted to actively take a part in voting and senatorial life, but that Southerner whites and Klansmen bullied and murdered any black man who attempted to vote or present as a candidate.

Then the segregational laws has been rapidly enforced and black folks has been deprived of their full citizenship rights until 1965.
