Jay wasnt handed anything. He put out two albums b4 he BLEW up then Dude put out a album full of hot singles. V.2 wasnt GREAT, but it locked up radio and made him the guy. Hard knock life, Jigga What, Can I get a.., money, cash, hoes. Jay took over radio and therefore, took over hip hop.
I won't even touch the Beyonce shit.
