When it come down to the come down, The Wallabee Champ probably got the strongest discography in hip-hop outside of The Roots. He's the first voice you hear on 36 Chambers, he's a Top 10 (at worst) storyteller, he's the co-star of Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. Supreme Clientele is one of a kind to the point where even he didn't know wtf he was rapping about and Nutmeg - a beat made by his FUCKING BARBER - changed the way niggas made beats forever. The others had a sophomore slump or failed to fulfill their potential....Tony Starks reached his ceiling and then smashed thru that shit.

Raekwon the Chef will always be immortal for C.R.E.A.M if nothing else. 2nd best verse on Triumph.

Deck the GOAT opening verse MC. If I had a time machine, saving Deck's album from the studio flood is right after killing a few Hitlers on the to-do list.

Back in the day I swore that if Method Man rapped on his own albums like he did on other people's albums he'd be on Mt. Rushmore with Big & Pac.

and The Genius.....

GZA at his peak is bar for bar one of the best lyricists to ever do it. Killah Hills 10304..........

Now look who's on the witness stand singin'
A well-known soprano, a smash hit from Sammy Gravano
Here's the plan, minimum for the hit, two hundred grand
Halftime at the game, blastin' niggas out the stands
The sharpshooters hit the prosecutor
Judges are sent photographs of they wives takin' baths
Along with briefcase filled with one-point-five
That's the bribe, take it or commit suicide

.......like if this guy had the work ethic we'd be talking about him the way we talk about Nas. But he was always flaky about getting shit done. His shows were always kinda hit or miss lol. There's some incredibly dope shit on his other albums (Luminal) and he did do that Grandmasters LP w/ DJ Muggs but yeah we never got anything close to Liquid Swords ever again. I was hype for that Dark Matter album about science, he was working with VANGELIS which would've been insane, what happened? He clearly used some of those verses on A Better Tomorrow, was that it? We give Meth shit for wasting his potential but GZA was arguably worse in this regard. Alas. I wish I had bought the VIP Meet & Greet ticket where you get to play chess against him lol.
