Without 3 Feet High and Rising, most of the "alternative" Hip Hop crowd wouldn't even be able to make money rapping. WIthout 3 Feet High and Rising Outkast wouldn't even be a thing. These were the guys that Russell Simmons didn't even consider Hip Hop.
