I'm here in Jerz and just heard about this shit today (they're over in the area by Staten Island which is a basically a whole different country. After a shallow dive my guess is that it's "our" military testing shit like heavy drones (of course) but also detection times, how long it takes for the media to pick up the story and how the public reacts to it along with how long it takes people to spot them in the first place and finally... what the public reaction to it is.

Basically... we're fucked.
