Netflix The Upshaws: Part 6 (1/9/25)

i wasnt feeling the family sitcom setup but I'll try it eventually cuz i fw mike

i've never seen/heard him do wholesome comedy tho

Its refreshing compared to all the other black family sitcoms on netflix

this one actually feel like it was made for us and dont come across as corny.

i still havent finished the season yet but i watched some more today

only thing id change going forward is the way that they deal with the dramatic scenes. like they'll throw some drama in there but then follow it up right away with a joke and that kinda takes away from it.. if they can get away from that it'd be even better

It was some comic relief, but that doesn't bother me either. When she told him to GTFACKOUT, I could hear a pin drop. I think that was the only F bomb dropped the entire show.

I was so caught off guard by that lmao

The laugh tracks don't bother me. A live studio audience would be cool.
They was over doing it on the 1st episode but then toned it down as the series continued. Just finished the season and im really impressed and would love a season 2.

This might be best black sitcom out.

Lmao at "ima rock that test" "i failed" . Shit was so sudden. Im loving the back and forthe of Mike and Wanda. It reminds me of Martin and Pam.

Just finished ep 6. I'm invested now.

Mike Epps still the weakest link with the acting tho.
