The Twilight Zone

CBS tho?

:smh:

I was hoping Netflix so it could rival Black Mirror.

CBS owns the original rights to the show because the originally aired the show.........I hope they make new original shows and not rewrite / rehash the old shows......this will be dope if done right

Now we need HBO to reboot Tales From The Crypt

Can't. Fuckin. Wait.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.

Unrelated, but word on the interwebs is Peele is in talks to direct and write a remake to candyman. If theres any horror film I want a remake to at this point its definitely candyman. Movie fucked me up as a kid. Will peep this twilight zone shit though.

I hope this does better than that Forest Whitaker reboot they tried back in like 2002 on UPN

Twilight Zone is the GOAT sci fi show outside of Doctor Who for me personally

If the episodes aren't written by the most creative and competent sci-fi and fantasy writers out today it won't be worth it. That's why the original even stood out.

Writing is one thing. Do they even have the actors?

Muthafuckas could act in the 50s and 60s.

So you've never seen Black mirror?

I wish for once y'all keep it a buck

Y'all niggas ain't watching CBS to see this

Y'all gonna watch it on the firestick or an equivalent

If you don't watch CBS now, this not the show that's gonna make you start

So you've never seen Black mirror?

Oh I've most definitely seen Black Mirror.. and it's great TV... but it's not the greatest scifi show OF ALL TIME... not yet anyway.

The original twilight zone has like 156 episodes in it's original run. Too many classic episodes to even name.

Black Mirror has like what? 19? While dope... Black Mirror still a rookie by comparison.

And Doctor Who is the longest running SciFi show in the history of television(840 episodes).. it aint for everybody but it's a personal favorite of mine... and you don't last that long without doing something right.

Absolutely right...I dont even know what channel CBS is on lol..

Everything We Know About The Twilight Zone Reboot (So Far)

There’s a lot of great stuff coming in 2019, but few things have us as curious as The Twilight Zone reboot. On one hand, it’s an iconic franchise that could lose some of its luster by coming back. On the other hand, the more we hear about it, the better it sounds. In case you’ve missed all that’s going on around the show, here’s everything we know so far.

Things started in November of 2017 when news broke that Twilight Zone was coming back on CBS All Access, the CBS streaming service best known for Star Trek: Discovery. Plus, among the executive producers? Jordan Peele, who would soon win an Oscar for writing the very Twilight Zone-ish film Get Out.

The original Twilight Zone was an anthology show, with each episode telling a different story with different characters. The one constant was creator Rod Serling as the host. This new version, slated for 10 episodes to start, would need its own host too. After a few months without an update, we got the answer as to who that would be. The host would be Jordan Peele himself.

“The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling’s mission,” Peele said at the time. “If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow Twilight Zone fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it’s a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society.”

With a host in place and writing surely underway, casting began.

First up to join the show was Sanaa Lathan, for an episode called “Rewind.”

Next was Adam Scott, in an episode called “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet,” a not-so-subtle homage to the classic episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” which starred William Shatner.

Comedian Kumail Nanjiani was cast next, in an episode written by Key and Peele writer Alex Rubens.

John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, and Allison Tolman were then cast in an episode called “Wunderkind.” Again like the rest of these episodes, nothing is known besides the title.

Former Walking Dead star Steven Yeun was next added to the series, set to star in an episode called “The Traveler.” That episode will also star Greg Kinnear.

Then, most recently, actors DeWanda Wise and Jessica Williams joined the show, in what’s so far another mystery episode.

To recap:
  • A reboot of The Twilight Zone is coming sometime this year to CBS All Access.
  • Jordan Peele is one of the executive producers and will be the on-camera host.
  • It’s likely to be 10 episodes.
  • We know the titles of four episodes: “Rewind,” “Nightmare at 30,000 Feet,” “Wunderkind,” and “The Traveler.”
  • The major actors cast (so far) are Sanaa Lathan, Adam Scott, Kumail Nanjiani, John Cho, Jacob Tremblay, Allison Tolman, Steven Yeun, Greg Kinnear, DeWanda Wise, and Jessica Williams.
  • IMDB lists dozens more, along with crew, but those are unconfirmed.
  • We still don’t know when it will premiere, other than sometime in 2019.
