Neither of my kids never played Mario and they loved the movie. Just think it dropped at the right time and somewhat a good story. The parents like it cause we grew up playing it and hell kids just love animation. My lil boy wants a switch now told him he was to young if he can't master the ps5 he ain't getting it.....Keeping it real, I don't know if this was a good movie or not. My daughter loved it. I found it entertaining, but I think that was mostly for fan service reasons. Like I wonder what someone who's never played any Mario tied games would think about it.
I feel like it was a cool flick for the fam, but I'm also surprised it's so successful.
Very simple plot, it was nothing mindblowing but entertaining nonetheless. Just heavy on nostalgiaKeeping it real, I don't know if this was a good movie or not. My daughter loved it. My hope is that they actually start making plots that are worth seeing the movie in addition to nostalgia to make a real cinematic universeYeah, I can see kids liking it whether they know anything about Mario or not. From an adult standpoint, the nostalgia does a lot of heavy lifting. To me, you take away the nostalgia, and there isn't much there. I'm not saying it wouldn't still be entertaining, but not billion dollar move entertaining. It just shows how much a little nostalgia and fanservice can do.

My fear is that they saw what this movie did with practically no real story and they are just gonna milk it for as long a possible
Peaches is fire be BTW. My daughter wouldn't stop singing it
The movie was dope....that peaches song will stay in ya head lol
Yea that peaches song off the chainROFL
So my daughter (5 yrs) rented it on our cable service this weekend without me or her mum's knowledge
Long story short... Song was the only thing that caught my attention in the movie... I and my girl just sing it to each other and be rolling
