SEC has had only FIVE black headcoaches in their history. ZERO currently in their conference. But that's not important tho.

Don’t sell niggas a dream.. try being honest about what your intentions truly are..Say you’re going to be there until a better opportunity comes along.. Save he God Squad bs about how god brought you there to save HBCU football.. And don’t paint yourself as the modern day Eddie Robinson.. Also Deion has been in the public eye long enough for everybody to know that Deion only cares about Deion.. Don’t try to paint a narrative that the nigga is on the same time as Mike Locksley or Brian Flores is on when it comes to putting the work in helping & supporting black coaches...

So did Deion anoint himself the modern day Eddie Robinson? Or did OTHERS paint him as such? We do this too ourselves everytime. Our people lookin for this ONE black figure to "save" us. Or to magically rid all of our issues within a time frame WE come up wit. And when that doesn't happen...we immediately turn on them.
And that bolded is laughable. None of this came up when he was puttin JSU on the map in eyes of the nation. Or puttin more eyes on HBCU's. But folks REALLY mad he used "God" as his reason? Or sold a "dream"?? That's the best folks can come up wit??? Yeah he laid out a "dream" for HBCU's...but muthafucca didn't HE was gonna the ONLY one to implement it!

Are a lot of folks hurt? Yes. But instead using the "He shouldn't have invoked God" as excuse...just b/c you couldn't find no other way to express your pain...congratulate the brotha. Thank him.
Thank him for helping showcase HBCU's. For turning a football program that had an less than adequate facility...equipment...football field...to into a SWAC powerhouse. Donates HALF his salary to help renovate the football facility. For helpin get corporations to pour millions into JSU (and other HBCU's). For doin more in 3yrs...than a lot of HBCU's administrators have ever done in decades.
After you do that, its then we say..."We got it from here brotha." Take the blueprint he laid down for JSU and help apply that to all the other HBCU's. Makin sure these administrators do right by the students. Provide the necessary tools needed for them to succeed. HBCU's had issues LONG b4 Sanders arrived. And unfortunately...will be there long after.
Question I have for everyone "outraged". What are WE as a people gonna do to keep HBCU's on the national radar?
