He really ain't lying tho.

My last "decent" year running my business (2018) I pulled down $54k. Now, NV has no state tax and LV has no city tax, and because I was running the show on my own I had to handle taxes at the end of the year so everything I billed I kept up front. Got insurance for us on the marketplace, had a car note and our 4 bedroom, 2500sq/ft crib was $1650 a month in a nice part of Vegas with a big ass pool out back. Along with the $1k a month my wife was getting for disability, we were a family of 5 living fairly comfortably.

It used to be a lot cheaper to live and it wasn't even that long ago.

When I was in grad school in 2003-2007, I was only getting paid 22K by the school. I wasn't ballin or nothing, but I swear I was doing pretty much everything I wanted to do. I can't imagine living off that now.

I made $26K in '99, folks thought I was really paid outchea. No way $26k works for anyone single with no kids in 2026.

I have such a good heart now, I find this so absolutely adorable. I’ll watch this for 5 minutes straight with a smile on my face. It’s so cute
