I love black people, but there is definitely a segment of our population that I can't imagine having to deal with on a regular basis.

Bruh, we mostly kept to ourselves when we were living in the hood in Vegas for this very reason. The number of fights, arguments, bad ass kids actin' a fool, parents acting a fool when confronted about their bad ass kids... Shit was fuckin crazy over there.

We had one lil nigga constantly on fuck shit. Couldn't have been more than 10 years old. He started some bullshit with another family and when the father of that family went to tell lil nigga's folks, they got into a heated ass argument and the mother pulled the strap on ole dude. He called the cops, she got rid of the gun before they got there so they couldn't do shit about it.

IT was ALWAYS some shit going down over that way.

I saw a set from this comedian (I can't remember his name). The joke was about how he became a coon, or at least came to understand some coons. The gist of it was that he grew up in a hood similar to what you describe. He then got some money and moved to a mostly white neighborhood where he didn't have to deal with any of the bullshit he experienced back in the hood. He immediately understood why the white people had such a low opinion of black people and set himself up to be one of the "good ones." He wondered why ever decent black person didn't just move to a white neighborhood. Then he got his "Nigga Wake Up" call and suddenly had the answer to his question.

It was a joke, so it was told in a funnier way that I relayed it. There's always some truth in jest though. I'm sure there are a lot of people that are shocked by how good life can be when you're not surrounded by a bunch of ratchet assholes. It's just too bad a lot of black people associate that with white neighborhoods and not middle class black neighborhoods.
