I was thinking it was one of the elements

EDIT: sulfur burning at high temps and oxygen mixing once the sulfur and lava hit the air

I don't remember sulfur burning that color blue. I thought it was more towards the green side of things, but maybe in an oxygen rich environment, they combine to make a similar color.
