I read a little bit about him. He became a high ranking officer in the Russian military and one of his sons actually attained the second highest position in the military at that time. It's kinda crazy how different the lives of slaves could be in other places compared to in America. That's not to say that his experience is typical or anything, but it wouldn't have even been possible for an American slave.

Just an update: I started a new job this week and dont have a computer set up yet and my PC at home is down and I'm unable to copy and paste the the pic facts on mobile.
