I saw it was ran by Sony, I didn't think they'd let me in repping Fuji

I wont be. I didnt do too much photography this year to have anything to enter. I really do need to pick up and use my camera more but its been collecting dust lately![]()
I saw the street photography example they used and ended up picking 3 photos that was big on composition, colors, etc like their example

Those are dope. I didnt know you did street photography, I thought you only shot astrophotography.
What if you put it in b+w or do a cinematic color scheme?See, this is the kinda shit I'm talmbout... I really thought there was a shot here, and someone else would prolly find it and nail it, but this shit just ain't it to me. I really don't think me and street photography mix well.

I suggested the different filter because sometimes that’s all it takes. I took this photo below and it looked bland but when I played around with the color scheme, the below color made it look more dramatic. In real life the natural colors wasn’t anything specialAs a general rule, I rarely ever manipulate the pics I take with the exception of rotation if I didn't have it flat to the horizon, or some amount of cropping (as I did on the last 5 pics I posted in the 2026 Pic Thread earlier today).
This is that same pic in black and white:

Nah, I don't really do much in the way of street photography, I can't seem to get it right. That said I've made attempts at it, but not many:

I think part of the problem is that I don't really see everyday life as interesting enough to shoot, so when I do try it just looks like someone taking random ass pictures.
I mostly shoot landscape and nature. The stuff I post in the ABW Pic Threads is generally a good representation of what I shoot. I've tried shooting the moon and did try shooting the galaxy, but either I'm getting the settings wrong as hell or just don't have the lenses for it, 'cause that shit almost never comes out right.
Maybe you can try from different angles and not straight. Like from ground level or looking down level?
What setting did you used for the galaxy?
You better off with the prime. I shot mine with a Sony 24mm f/1.4I used my Tamron 28-80mm lens with a 10 sec exposure, f/3.5, and ISO-400 and my 50mm Yonguo f/2 prime set to f/2.8, iso-800, with an 8 second exposure.
My Canon 18-55mm would probably be better if it's aperture could open more than f/3.5. It's an APS-C lens where the other two are full frame so there's the whole 1.6 multiplier at work on the other two as well.
But, I took those shots with my old camera, the newer one has shown a lot of promise so I'll probably revisit this in the spring. Hopefully I'll also have my hands on a nicer lens with a wider aperture by then. I'm hoping to get my hands on a Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 prime which might help, Tamron has a few that are interesting as well.
