No. I didn't find it comedic at all. Maybe they're was a chuckle or two, but not enough for me to consider it that. I don't know how it is officially classified though. Maybe movie buffs would call it a romantic comedy. I'm not up on them like that.

It was just a movie that followed a budding romance between a young couple, one of whom is the product of a romance left stranded...

Ahh gotcha I only ask because you wanted people to support this so other kinds of movies can be made by black people but the black rom com is a staple
 
Just watched this on HBO Max. Didn't find it to be a snoozefest. Thought it was a decent love story. Idk why her mom was bothered that Isaac moved on. He wanted to marry her but she said she wasn't ready.
