It kills me that the US is "fighting radical Islam" and then lets Turkey who funds radical Islam go in and destroy the only people in the middle east that are truly secular and treat women equally.
It kind of makes the conspiracy theories that America really is behind the growth of radical islam seem true.
The YPG literally have female wings of their army, have women generals in charge of entire operations, and their system of governing is all by assembly which is usually an assembly of 12 in which 40% must be women, 4 have to be non muslim(in a majority muslim area), and certain percentages have to be from certain ethnic backgrounds depending on the population of the conclave. Their system of governance requires each assembly to have 2 equal leaders of which one must be a woman.
All of this in the middle east. Their system of governance might be the most liberal and inclusive government in the world.
And their military is powerful. On the ground they are the strongest force. No way they have a chance against Turkey due to airstrikes. Hard to fight airplanes from the ground, but on the ground they are unmatched in the region. The US military confirms it.
All that and they get sold out to Turkey which is an Islamist government who was proven time after time to support ISIS, Al Qaeda and all the other "radical islamist" groups.
So next time someone say the US is trying to defeat Radical Islam, its hard not to raise an eyebrow.
