Graham Asks Foreign Leaders To Help With Barr’s Shady Investigation

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) is urging foreign leaders to cooperate with Attorney General Bill Barr’s efforts to investigate the investigators.

As he promised earlier this week, Graham wrote to the prime ministers of Australia, Italy and the United Kingdom on Wednesday asking the leaders to assist Barr in his efforts to “investigate the origins and extent of foreign influence in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.” Many have characterized Barr’s investigation as an effort to actually discredit Mueller’s probe.

After reports surfaced this week that President Trump and Barr have attempted to communicate with at least three different countries’ leaders to gather information about the origins of the Russia probe, Graham told Fox News that Barr was just doing his job. He expanded on that sentiment further in the letter.

“One of the principal duties of the U.S. attorney general is to supervise ongoing investigations within the Justice Department. Moreover, as you are undoubtedly aware, Australia, Italy and the United Kingdom routinely exchange law enforcement information with each other to assist in the course of investigations,” he wrote. “That the attorney general is holding meetings with your countries to aid in the Justice Department’s investigation of what happened is well within the bounds of his normal activities.”

Earlier this week, Graham argued that the reports on Barr’s global efforts to discredit the probe were just a coordinated effort by the media to “shut down” his investigation. Barr has long heartily embraced President Trump and other prominent Republicans’ “investigate the investigators” posture toward Mueller’s report, believing that U.S. intelligence agencies acted improperly in securing a warrant to surveil a member of President Trump’s 2016 campaign.

Rush Limbaugh is following in President Trump’s footsteps in attacking Fox News.

During an episode of his namesake radio show Wednesday, conservative radio giant Rush Limbaugh took aim at Fox News — where he’s been a regular guest — for featuring “Never Trumpers” in its coverage on Trump’s infamous July call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“We’ve even got Never Trumpers now all over Fox News,” Limbaugh said, before mocking unspecified anti-Trump guests who have been featured on the network. “’Well, this phone call is very hard to defend. I wouldn’t want to have to defend this phone call. If I were the Republicans, I wouldn’t want…’ There’s nothing hard to defend about the phone call! You just don’t want to defend it!”

Limbaugh then said that Fox News should change its name to the “Fox Never Trumper Network” because “they’re bringing in Democrats like [former chair of the Democratic National Committee] Donna Brazile.”

Trump has been increasingly hostile toward Fox News, musing that the network is “different, there’s no question about it.”

Limbaugh also argued that “Never Trumpers” fail to recognize that “conservatism’s under assault” and that they’d “rather be friends with these nincompoops on the left than have to defend [their] own side.”

“But if Trump is hard to defend, what about conservatism, you Never Trumpers? Can you defend that?” Limbaugh said. “Do you not understand that conservatism’s under assault? You may not be because you’re renouncing conservatism to sidle up with these guys that you don’t want to be criticized by.”

Limbaugh concluded that “Never Trumpers can’t even defend their own beliefs because Trump happens to hold them.”

“So they can’t defend basic conservatism because Trump is implementing it,” Limbaugh said. “They so despise Trump for whatever inane reasons that they can’t even defend what they always have believed.”

We are supposed to have the greatest intelligence agencies in the world, yet they ask other countries to investigate meddling in our elections, of which our agencies have already concluded happened.

If this isn’t treason I don’t know what is. Those other countries could say “of course Democrats did wrong in initiating the investigation“ just to throw us deeper into division, smh.
