These folks cant even keep their own words and agreements to people on their own team. Why should dems think they could trust dude at his word?

He makes a promise. They publicize the promise and make sure everyone in the country knows what was agreed upon. He breaks the promise, he looks bad. They lose nothing because he's going to win with or without their support.

The alternative is that he's now courting the crazies and making them promises to get their support, and you can bet he will keep those promises. So, in the end this will be a losing strategy.

No but voters do. If the Dems play for something that is popular and the Reps reneg on it, it will hurt them. Right now, the Reps look like fools, but in the end they'll still get what they want and them Dems will have nothing at all to show for it.

They show us every day they dont care about looking bad. You can chop together mad compilations of folks saying one thing, then doing the exact opposite for political favor

Again, it doesn't matter what they care about. What matters is what the voters care about. The Reps underperformed during the elections because they took the wrong stance on something that was popular to the voters. The Dems were in a position to make them make another misstep, and they chose to just pat themselves on the back. All they're really getting is a week of laughs at the expense of the Reps, but when dude finally gets the position, we're all going to suffer because of it.

His friend got his own charges lessened by agreeing to testify against him and then became wholly unreliable so they dropped the charges on Gaetz

As bad as the Meg and Tory trial as far as witnesses and evidence
