Yeah, you're both right. She could have some Afro or Indigenous in her, but she's most likely of predominant European ancestry - commonly 'white,' then - but she is from Latin America and can be called a 'Latina.' Latinos of Euro extraction are certainly white within Latin America, but how that whiteness translates into other societies can be tricky. For example, racists in the US would call them, say, 'spics' even though they have the same broad European ancestry as them.

Anyway, let's bond over the women of that part of the world!

What I like about some Hispanic countries like Brazil is the fact that women out there are unabashedly not fearing size stigma and bigotry about being fuller figured or downright obese the same way that Americans-- or even worse, Europeans, does.
