Id be happy with either of those fights. All I know is morales has the momentum right now. I'd especially like to see him vs shavkat. Whoever wins that fight gets the next title shot.

As much as I hate him, Ian Garry is right. One of these younger guys deserves the shot at the title against Islam. To give it to usman next is kind of crazy. Dude has been on his way out for awhile. I understand it in terms of a legacy fight, but theyre basically just re doing what Jon jones did at heavyweight. Islam has some years left. Have him defend the title he just won against one of these hungry welterweights and lets see what happens.

Id love to watch morales shut Ian Garry up too though.

He's just a douchebag imo. He wants to be conor soooo bad and he talks the conor talk, but although hes been winning, he doesn't have those conor finishes against anyone in the top 10 hes faced. Before he was ranked, yeah he was demolishing dudes, but now hes in the top 10 hes just getting boring decisions whether they been competitive or not. His conor talk comes off way more cringier and unnatural. It kind of works for topuria because topuria can back it up, but with Ian its just bleh.

I think this fight means Ilia Topuria is going to go up in weight to vacate in order to fight Islam. As a result, this is their contingency plan.

Gaethje and Paddy get the title shots they wanted, and Arman gets his in 2026. Keep in mind also that Arman won his first fight against Hooker in a year and a half.

If Topuria loses to Islam and comes back to lightweight, he presumably has to go through Arman (assuming Arman beats Paddy or Gaethje). Everyone gets what they want and the ufc profits, and the White House card has its co- and/or main event.

I think Yan is the only bantamweight with a chance of beating merab. Still think merab is too much for him though.
