Genuine question.

Is it fighter error or of company error for not finding gloves suited for the sport?

We’re inevitably going to reach that point eventually like it or not.

Eyeballs will get protected.

Choose wisely.
You'll never stop eye pokes , it wasn't done intentionally. . His fingers just landed where they landed. They both were moving

Gane dirty AF
He's not.

Man I've trained for 10+ years, when you throw lead strikes or are on defense you extend your arm out to posture up, read distance, stop someone from blitzing (which Tom was), prevent cutting of distance, defend and to avoid counter punches. If you've ever sparred with a long or lanky fighter you know how frustrating and annoying it is. It was definitely unintentional. In my view you're a professional fighter and things like this come with the territory. People are talking about a guy potentially losing sight as if you can't be punched in the eye and end up worse. Imagine the outrage if Jon Jones did this and called a fight off.

Tom didn't look very good but Gane looked great defensively and his footwork was excellent. Gane was getting the better of Tom Aspinall and I'm happy for him considering people had largely written him off.

As for the eye poke, if his eye was damaged like Belal's was he'd have a case. The doctor told him he was fine and the ref told Tom not to say he couldn't see. To me, Gane looked like he was gaining the upper hand, drew blood early and that terrified Tom. If Tom lost to Gane he had everything to lose.

All Dana White did was described what happened. Imo I am skeptical of a rematch happening and I also dont think Aspinall wants to give Gane a rematch and I last heard his team want him DQ'ed.

The fastest they can get a rematch is most likely January or February. The problem with that is the White House event is in June 2026 and technically it would be unfair for a champion to defend twice in a year with very little time in between to train for another title defense. Especially if Tom is to fight Jon Jones or Alex Pereira. It would suck not to get a rematch but Tom would have a valid point not to do one.
