Iono where this "decline" you speak of is coming from. Cats was saying back in Phase 2 about comic book movie fatigue in general but yet these Marvel movies continue to keep breaking records.

i liked the first fantastic 4 oddly enough... i think the 2nd one with silver surfer and galactus was just them tryna do too much and falling on their face....the ff4 reboot was comedy

they can, but their mistake was tryna copy a formula instead of creating their own like they've done successfully in the past...

it's a clusterfuck right now, but with the amount of stories they have on deck that could translate well onto the big screen, it's just a matter of time like ive been saying..

u can't stop the sun from shining.....

marvel and the MCU is hot.....

but fans are giving it credit for way too much.....

it wasn't until winter soldier that there was actually a dc vs marvel race...

cuz up till then it wasn't even a thing....

dark knight and ironman came out he same year... and even though marvel was building their mcu..... dc was so far ahead with dark knight it wasn't even a consideration that they would catch up.....and it's impressive that they did and i will say on the movie tip surpassed them at this moment....

but yall fans act like they've always been in the lead... it's laughable....especially if u read the comics and you see the potential future movies like i see them....

shit i am legend came out in 2007, before marvel even stared the mcu and people were hyped about the teaser of a superman vs batman movie even then..

so yea,. i'll give marvel, and mcu credit where credit is due... the last 10 years they been killing it, but before then, and very likely in the future... that's not always going to be the case.....

Slim you got use movies that's not even DCEU (Nolan's Batman) and stuff as far back as 30 years to even complete w/ what the MCU has done.

Sure they're all prior to 2008, but it wasn't till 2008 that marvel really did major damage. Before then it's all Superman & Batman and it's not even close

That movie was set in feudal Japan and had a fight with a megazord made up of robotic castles vs a giant monkey made from hundreds of little monkeys grouped up together and wearing armor made from thousands of bats hanging from the monkeys. As an anime fan, even I was looking at that shit like "This is too stupid to even sit through." I had to cut that shit off without bothering to see how it ended.

I'd put Dark Knight neck and neck with Winter Soldier as the best comic book movies (even though I like Infinity War the best). The rest of those movies are in the discussion, but I wouldn't say either of those other two Batman movies hold up to Ironman or Civil War let along Avengers or Infinity War.
