That's what sucks. They've basically turned the best SS design into a meaningless one-off. That said, Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego are still works in progress, so maybe they can bring SS4 back and combine it with them. That could definitely work with Vegeta since his desire was to go the Saiyan route instead of following the UI path. They could say that the SS4 is the pinnacle of saiyan power and have Vegeta combine that with his Ego/God forms.

I mean the enemies they are facing are way past the need for SSJ4. You say saiyan route, you mean destroyer route. Don’t see why need to tap into 4

I said Saiyan route because that's what Vegeta said. Leveling up the SS4 form with the Destroyer power and Ego mechanic could do that.
