The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

I just wish people would STOP using words “prevent” and “preventing”.

It can not fucking prevent you from catching COVID or prevent you from dying from it. How do we know this? Because there are vaccinated people who are still catching it, have still caught it, and have still died from it…all while being vaccinated.

It spreading has nothing to do with people not being vaccinated and that’s where my issue resides because truth be told, there are a ton of people who are already sickly who should not be taking vaccines. Vaccine injuries is a real thing. Not only that, it’s still in an experimental phase.

And for it to be so damn contagious, these little fake ass masks people are wearing wouldn’t be able to protect them.
 
I have a really tough time with words people use to describe shit that doesn’t even fit.

In this case, it’s prevent.

It’s a lie to say it prevents people from dying or getting so sick because I know friends and family members still losing people who were vaccinated smh. I mean damn, how blind can people be? Damn idiots.

So you know people that have passed after full vaccination? Honest question because I see a new trend forming. Seems like this Delta variant don't give a fuck about the vaccine. At least not as much a fuck as the past variants. I think it's still better than unvaxxed, but maybe not as much as previously thought.

And if that's the case, then we certainly going back into lockdown.

So 6,239 hospitalizations and 1,263 deaths TOTAL out of the 163 million vaccinated.

This is out of a total of 5,745 hospitalizations PER DAY and 296 deaths PER DAY: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html

I'm not saying the vaccine is perfect, but it does suggest the vaccine is working better than not being vaxxed.

I guess I'd need the number of vaxxed vs. unvaxxed in those per day numbers to really tell the story, but the total vaxxed in the hospital and dying suggests a lower incidence rate than the unvaxxed since those are totals that would then have to be fractioned to get a per day.

Either way, the shit ain't looking good for nobody, only a bit better for the vaxxed.

I think it’s disturbing that people have their head so far up their funky asses that they feel people need to even lie about fully vaccinated friends and family members getting sick and/or dying just to make them feel better about getting vaccinated.

If you’ve been fully vaccinated and haven’t contracted COVID, YAY. I doubt it’s because of the vaccine. I also say this and mean this, you can not pay me to get vaccinated even if I could..period.

Why the defensiveness though, lol. Nobody thought you were lying. I was just asking and leading it to my overall point about the Delta variant doing exactly what you stated.

I was annoyed, that’s why. I’m tired of the scare tactics they’re using to push the vaccine and we have to think about the fact that there are far more immunocompromised people than on record. Some who are vaccine injured too.

Why are we still treading these claims my God lol. People have clearly broke it down exactly what the vaccine does but because you chose to entertain the people who just saying shit you getting yourself upset. Talk to your doctor or just focus on that facts not what everybody is claiming.

It makes the ride while having covid alot more tolerable. That's it. Prevents mfs from dying of ventilators. Let's move on from the other claims because that's exactly all it is. Anybody claiming any other thing is clearly misguided on their information.

Eh, what you won’t do is dismiss my losses and grieving to make you feel better about being vaccinated. I’ve lost family and friends, both vaccinated FULLY and unvaccinated to COVID. My grandfather included.

Vaccines are not a ONE SIZE FITS ALL. There will be people who will still get sick and die from it, this is a fact because it is already happening whether you want to believe it or not.

So respectfully, find you somebody to play with because it’s not me.
 


In this clip they're actually putting emphasis on vaccine inequity. That part at 4:05.....

If they keep prioritizing wealthy countries and leaving poor countries out to dry we will NEVER get thru all this bullshit....AND may eventually lead to vax resistant mutations.
