The official COVID-19/Coronavirus Discussion Thread...aka I hope I don't get the Rona

i am having more and more questions.

something aint adding up.

i am really worried about all these black people dying alone.

Gonna approach it with caution. The date can change depending on how the numbers look in the next 10 days

I’m still waiting on word about Broward. I still won’t be going to many places

I guess this excluded the hardest big community.....wonder who they are?

There have only been a little more than 8 million tests administered. I'm sure blacks don't make up the majority of those tests. I think you're confusing the fact that black people die from the virus at a higher rate with black folks making up a higher percentage of the positive tests.

Well.

I have been wondering how if the poorer places are not tested like other places...How do we make up the most deaths from a test we don't take? So more people are tested after death or at the point of death??

Help me understand.

I think my math is off

what he is trying to say is the inequality in deaths are not or maybe not the same as positive test results, there will be more white people who have caught it than blacks its scientifically impossible for this not to happen

Here are some numbers:

8.1 million tests
1.25 million positive results
70K deaths

The vast majority of people that test positive end up surviving the virus. Black people make up a disproportionate percentage of the deaths.
