Seems to be money obviously the lower ranked players were not able to make money this year and it has hit them so I think this will allow them to organise tournaments and make money..... After that djokovic moment though it's risky

If the ATP and WTA merged it would drive a lot of players to this break away group.

The merger is risky it's likely ATP will try and take over the WTA and set it back it needs to be done correctly but this would be the perfect time for it

The merger isn’t the issue it changes really nothing I think dudes just want say so when it comes to collective bargaining....men see it as if we are generating more revenue than women why should we split the prize money evenly......

If the US open men generates 10 mil

and women 5 mil

the prize money for both tournament shouldn’t be 7.5 mil each

this a simple breakdown but y’all
