I like that they have more big names, but I don't know how I feel about some of the rule changes.

Also, displacing some of the top-ranked players in mixed doubles is a problem, especially since that's where (I imagine) they make most of their money.

What do you think?

It’s corny and I don’t like it

Two years ago the talk of the Us Open was the Shelton/Townsend pairing every one of their match was sold out

I guess the USTA wanted to build up on that clout at this open

A lot of top players stated they couldn’t do it during the actual tournament so they moved it to a week before which is stupid even tho I think this week is free at the US Open

Four games sets are stupid the fact that the number 1 doubles player doesn’t get to play mixed is stupid

The payday is 1 million dollars for the winning team so it’s a lot of money some top doubles and mixed players are being frozen out of cuz they don’t have the clout
