What's the payment structure like though?

The fact that arsenal were attempting to pay £75m in £15m instalments over 5 years and thought west ham would accept such an offer is wild! 🤯

So it's as much about how much upfront money, how frequent are payments above the final total amount inc. Add-ons when it comes to this deal.

City offer matches final total but de-risks it as less are attributed to add-ons.*
Arsenal doesn't inherently need to offer more total money, but how about stating you'd pay the £75m over 2 years as opposed to 5 instead. 🤔

*in fact add-ons assuming it relates to team performance are also de-risked, the fact that it's man City...treble winners as opposed to arsenal who've never won the champions league nor the Premier league in 20 years
